| Meet at | Fr Denis Power Building, 347 Given Terrace, Paddington (Rosalie). |
| Time | 6.45 pm Constitution Discussion / 7.30 Meeting |
Our meetings are friendly, relaxed gatherings where members and visitors can hear about recent and upcoming club activities and ask questions about coming walks that interest you. These days we have AV support for our oral reports and Club information so it should be just as enjoyable as usual.
After the formalities, people catch up over a friendly cuppa and usually home-made edible treats. During this time, nominations for walks are taken. You can ask leaders about their trips and talk with members about their experiences.
During Supper, there’s always the possibility of a digital display of photos from past walks, as our laptop, data projector and screen are already set up ready to display photos. So, members, feel free to bring along a small selection of photos – highlights of recent past walks – on a memory stick to show. Just send me a quick text message to let us know in advance how many photo-selections we’re expecting.
A special item of business: Arrive at 6:45pm for the discussion on the Constitution - a sub-committee has been established to consider the proposed change to membership categories. This matter will be discussed at this General Meeting. I would encourage all members to re-visit the President’s Report in
the March Jilalan and February Meeting Minutes which outlined the specifics of this Proposal, and if you would like to participate in any likely discussion about this matter, ensure that you attend the May Quarterly Meeting. This is an opportunity for members to be actively involved in an important discussion for the Club, one which I hope will provide the chance for a range of views to be aired and which will allow a strong consensus to be reached about a significant proposal.
Everyone is welcome to this Quarterly General Meeting of the Club. We need 19 for a quorum; please plan to be there on Monday,18th.
