Formerly known as Eumundi State Forest, Eumundi Conservation Park was declared in 2009 to protect bushland providing an important refuge and corridor for wildlife.  The trails pass through open eucalypt forests, with grassy understory.  Along creeks and sheltered gullies, tall wet eucalypt forest and rainforest grows.

We will be walking along the Wildflower Trails of Geebung Circuit and Blackbutt Trail.  Both these trails have plenty of flowers thriving. 

We commence at the Seib Road gate which is in the middle on the Conservation Park, and head left towards the Eumundi Northern Loop before returning to the Blackbutt Trail.  We then walk along the Blackbutt Loop going past Cattle Yards and a dam before continuing on to Figbird Trail, Geebung Trail and Ironbark Trail. Be aware that there are some steep sections and gullies along Figbird Trail.  Walking poles would come in handy.

After lunch at the end of Ironbark Trail, we return via Hidden Valley Road gate and continue back to Seib Road gate.  You  may see some more wild flowers along the Ironbark Trail.

Come and enjoy the end of Winter with me along these shared trails.  Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and plenty of water. There are stepping stones to cross a creek on the Ironbark Trail. We need  to stay together and wait at intersections as there will be a lot of intersections on this walk. Any leeches?  No. And bring a change of shoes as it can get quite muddy on this track and a change of clothes for the car journey home

Toilets are at Memorial Drive on your right at end of sports field (very small carpark) second roundabout after coming off at exit 224.  Cuppa afterwards if anyone has time at El Fresco on Eumundi Noosa Rd, turn right after coming out of Seib Rd.
