Last 3 seats left – Bookings close, 12 noon, Friday 4 September 2026
For the first time ever, the Club has a trip to Lord Howe Island which is one of Australia’s premier bird watching destinations with 14 species of seabirds breeding here in the hundreds of thousands.
The island is 11kms long and 2kms wide and only a quarter of the island is developed. For walkers there are many trails but there is a memorable walk to the top of Mt Gower with a height of 875m, which is only 2/3rd of the way up Mt Barney. It is a full day walk and is regarded as one of the best day walks in the world. There will be other options for the less energetic.
Our trip includes flights to the Island from Coolangatta Airport plus accommodation on the island. The cost is approximately $3,800. Most people get around the island on foot.
We currently have 16 people confirmed plus a waiting list of 5 people. If 3 more people wish to come, those 5 people on the waiting list can join the trip. Please let me know if you wish to join us by 12 noon on Friday, 4 September 2026. There will be no extension to this deadline.
