This 16.6kms walk will entail in part, following the Coomera River, downstream, starting and finishing at the Binna Burra Information Centre within the Lamington National Park. Views are limited. The eastern side of the circuit is  closed at present.

We are walking grade 4 and 5 tracks.  First we descend three kms, down to beautiful Gwongoorool Pool through subtropical rainforest.   Then continuing downstream on the track there are 12 creek crossings.  Currently water depth is below knee height and rock hopping at some crossings maybe possible in May.   We will walk through impressive Picabeen Palm groves and massive trees.

Halfway is Illinbah Clearing, a little overgrown.  The return route will be determined in discussion with local QPWS staff, and of course we have to climb out of the valley.

Please bring 2 litres of water, as it maybe humid. This walk is more difficult than your normal track walk but it still follows a gradient. I have completed a preouting so give me a call to discuss, if you are interested in this walk.
