Our Strolling is crawling from Roma Street to Caboolture – now more than halfway through. All the branch lines – Pinkenba, Shorncliffe and Redcliffe, are now behind us.

Our track is basically following the line along suburban streets, though there is the Pine River to cross and a few parks & bush reserves to wind our way through. Some minimum adventures to encounter.

Over the years, and only the recent years, this part of the country has gone from bush to housing estates – even during the time I have been planning Strolls. How things change so fast. I was worried there was no way of following this line from Petrie to Caboolture, but the land developers have dampened my doubts.

This one is long on paper (not as long as some we Strolled in past years) and is not the furthest we have gone from the CBD (Rosewood, Beenleigh and even Cleveland have been further away than Dakabin), we are starting out earlier than normal to find out what it is like Strolling in daylight. Now that sunset is later and the afternoons are heating up, I will give it a try.

Come with me on this urbane Stroll to discover some of our latest developments in the outer burbs.
