MeetSt Brigid’s Carpark, Red Hill
Cost$500 -$600

This is great trip with special places to visit and magic views. This walk is also called the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk. It is a relatively easy walk and should appeal to many members. Great views and easy beach walking,

The plan is to stay in cabins at Park Beach at Coffs Harbour or in motels near by and do the walk over 4 days. Please contact me if you are interested so I can get an idea of numbers for bookings for cabins/motels. I expect some members to volunteer to drive down. But we may need to hire cars. If you would like to join the trip please advise by 31st October as we need to book accommodation asap.

For an extra advance notice in the following years I would like to do some more “bushwalking tours” in NSW in the October time frame and a rough plan is as follows

2027 fly to Sydney, hire cars and the do walks around the South Coast eg Kiama Coastal walk over 2 days, Jervis Bay (a series of short walks), Ulladulla west area including Ramsden Head and next day Mt Bushwalker (Gadarra Point), Durras Beach, Pretty Beach and do part of the Murramarang walk, Batemans Bay (the new 15km Munjip Trail). Return trip to Sydney is 4 hours

2028 do the walks around the NSW North Coast including Evans Head (Dirawong walk), Dorrigo (Wonga Walk – 7km), New England National Park (Lyrebird walk ), South West Rocks (Smoky Cape Track), Port Macquarie Coastal Walk.

2029 fly to Sydney – stay in Sydney and do a series of day-walks by train or bus – Cronulla to Marley Beach, Wentworth Falls walks, Patonga to Gosford walk., Wondabyne to Patonga Walk, Waterfall to Heathcote walk, Hunters Hill to Lane Cove walk, Berowra to Mt Kuringai walk & Warrimoo to Glenbrook walk.

2030 fly to Newcastle and hire cars do walks in the Central Coast area and Newcastle area and Port Stephens area

2031 fly to Sydney (In late March) drive to Canberra and do the International Peace walks and then do some walks around the Tidbinbilla area , also Molonglo Gorge and the Bungonia Gorge area, and Carrington Falls

I also have to fit in the 4 day Yuraygir Coastal Walk near Yamba as well. So many walks still to do and so little time.
