This walk is combined with Mapleton National Park so expect a few hills and fire trails.  The walk commences at Saddle Dam A at the Cooloolabin Dam Day Use Area and we walk around the peninsula of this dam following the track markers and then continue past the boat launch and onto a grass path.

We then start the climb up Buckby Road (gravel road) until we reach Blackall Road.  This last road leads us into Mapleton Forest where we will be walking on a few fire trails and a creek crossing.  We will see some wildflowers along the walk.

Towards the end of the circuit after coming out of the forest, we will be taking a trail to the Dam Wall where we can stop and view the dam and any water flowing off the wall and then head back to the Day Use Area. Lunch and morning tea will be along the walk.  There are toilet facilities at the Day Use Area and bring the usual day walking gear.  This is a different part of Mapleton National Park that the club has not done before, so hope you can join me on this walk.
