Our stroll will begin at the UQ Lakes bus stop (near the ferry terminal) and take us on a scenic circuit of the University of Queensland St Lucia campus.

We’ll walk around the lakes and past several residential colleges, briefly entering St Lucia via Upland Road and the Acacia Playground before returning to campus via Carmody Road. This section includes a couple of hills, with an easier option to return early to the Biological Sciences Library and wait for the group to rejoin.

Continuing on, we’ll pass colleges including International House, then head along Glasshouse Road toward the Biological Sciences Library and the historic Schonell Pizza Caffè.

We’ll visit the iconic Great Court to see the gargoyles and hear about the Pitch Drop experiment, before making our way past the Union buildings, tennis courts, and along the river back to the starting point.

After the walk, those interested can stay for the $16 Wednesday pizza special at the Pizza Caffee (closes at 7pm), with St Lucy Caffe e Cucina as a backup.
